He Sees, Knows & Understands and Will Help - Always!

The Lord always sees and understands fully the distress and inner struggles we have as well as the outward things we go through.  He does care and want to help – every time.

He does not condemn us or reproach us for running into problems, even if they are because of shortcomings and weaknesses in ourselves.  He is always on our side; He is our very present help and is always willing to give us His help and wisdom without reproach or condemnation.

He is ever giving.  Whether we have His help or not ism’t up to Him but up to us.  It is based on what we know and believe in our hearts and how we approach Him.  The way to approach Him ism’t to go over and over to Him how you feel or to continually recite your problems to Him.  He already knows that and His promise to help is eternal and unchangeable.

You are to approach Him confidently, knowing He sees and He knows and understands and is touched with how you feel, that He actually cares and wants you relieved, delivered, helped, whatever it is you need – and because of this to believe He hears and that you receive when you pray.  You do this based on the Word alone.

Then you need to go away knowing you have the answer.  You have authority to do this based on His Word – just because He said it.  And you have start believing before you see or feel the changes.  The answer has to be based on His Word and nature not on your feelings or whether or not things change right away. His word is eternal and more sure than any tangible "thing" or circumstance in this life. God is faithful and reliable and can be counted on.

He is always reaching down with His present help and mercy.  You meet His love and mercy with your faith and take it to yourself.  This has always been and will always be the effective way to meet Him and receive an answer every time.   Though God in His mercy will meet us where we are, He expects us to learn and grown and meet Him on His level to have the highest and best results possible.

When I know His will ahead of time, I don’t ever have to go away without the answer.  I can receive what I need when I pray every time.  He will always help me if I trust in Him.  And I can know His will from His Word and His character and from the witness I have in my heart. He wants me to be filled with the knowledge of His will and to not be foolish but to fully understand the will of the Lord (Colossians 1:9 ; Ephesians 5:17).

I have learned through the years through many experiences and much revelation of His word that this is the way it works.  God’s truths will never change.  God will not change to meet you on different terms just because He loves you.  The way to approach Him is established and will not change.

So if I want His answers always, I will need to adjust what I am doing to what the Bible teaches about approaching God and receiving answers.   I have to adjust because He won’t. He just waits for me to do my part so He can help me.  He longs to help me.  He delights in it when things go well with me.  He longs for me to enjoy fully all of the blessings and provisions He has provided for me at great cost to Himself .

I Will Call Upon the Lord

Psalm 86:2-3, 5, 7 – I trust in you, leaning on and believing in you, committing all and confidently looking to you without fear or doubt.  Be merciful and gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day…  You, oh Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and you are abounding in mercy to all those who call upon you…In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me.

Psalm 50:15 – And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor and glorify me.

Psalm 145:18 – The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.   He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; He hears their cry and saves them.

V. 8-9 – The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.   The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.

He is near to those who call upon Him; He hears them and will save them.  He is abundant in mercy, and He is rich in mercy toward them.  He is near when I call upon Him and rich in mercy towards me.  He hears me and will save me.

Romans 10:12 – He is abounding in riches to all who call upon Him.

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you are abounding in riches towards me; I have called upon you and put my life with all of its situations into your hands.  You are abounding in mercy towards me.  You will answer me.  You have heard me and you save and deliver me - beginning even now.  You fulfill my desires.  You are gracious and compassionate and rich in love towards me.  I know this not because I feel like it is going to happen or because I have seen it start to happen but because you said it.

Ephesians 2:4 – But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).

...And He will Answer

In the New Testament, Jesus always responded to:

  • Those who came to Him and sought Him.
  • Those who believed Him, trusted Him and worshipped Him.
  • Persistent faith.
  • Those for whom others came to Him about.

He many times healed all who came to Him, but He didn’t usually go out looking for those to heal who didn’t come to Him or seek Him out.  He does not just respond merely to need.  He sees, understands and cares about our needs so much that He has already provided all we need through the redemption He gained for us.  All we could ever need is there for us, but to enjoy the benefits, we must hear about it and believe it and partake of it (Romans 10:12-17).

We can learn to enjoy always having all of our needs met – because that is the extent of His provision. He sees and knows all of our needs and even feels compassion towards us; He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but that is not enough to get His ever present help.
On our part, we have to seek Him, call upon Him, believe and trust Him and His mercy and be persistent in faith until we see the answers we need and desire – just as the people in the Bible did.  He is no respecter of persons; as He met them is how He meets us.

He Sees, Knows, Understands – and Is Present

Psalm 46:1 – God is a very present help. He is always near and willing to help.  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, even if it seems our whole world is falling apart.

Hebrews 2:18 – For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

Hebrews 4:13-16 – And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. ..For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Psalm 34:15, 17, 19 – The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry…When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles… Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

1 Peter 3:12 – The eyes of the Lord are on me and His ears are open to my prayer.   Not only does He hear but He also He delights in my prayer.  He likes it when I come to Him in my times of need.  He enjoys spending time with me.

Psalm 34:15 – The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

Psalm 14:2 – The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any who understood, dealt wisely and sought after God, inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him.

2 Chronicles 16:9 – For the eyes of the Lord turn to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him.

Psalm 33:18-19 – Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him, who wait for Him and hope in His mercy, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

It isn’t your perfect behavior or good works that put you into the position of God showing Himself strong toward you; it is when you seek after God and when your heart is devoted and blameless.  His eye is upon them who worship Him and trust in Him and know He will be merciful towards them.  He draws near to those who draw near to Him.

Malachi 3:16-17 – Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name.  They will be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.

Hebrews 11:6 – He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.

Psalm 32:8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Matthew 6:6-8; 7;7-11 – My Father is unseen but there.  He sees all of the times I come to Him and He knows my needs even before I ask.  He wants me to pray to Him, and He wants to answer me.  And He knows how to give good things to me when I ask.

Hebrews 4:14-16 – He not only sees and knows but He feels my feelings.  I am invited to come boldly and obtain mercy and find grace in my time of need.

When you come to God and pray, don’t leave without what you need; He is offering it to you. Even though He always knows and understands and  has provided all we need, the good things He has provided don’t come automatically.  He has already given all we could need; but we must take it by faith, as plainly and simply as if we could see it and grasp it with our natural hands.  It is a faith transaction, but it as real as a transaction you can see or feel.  Learn to live in this realm and you will have tapped the source of true and abundant life.

Exodus 2:23-25 – … The sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.  So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.

Exodus 3:7-10 –The Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to them.  So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey...  Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.

Jeremiah 32:17, 19 – Ah, Lord God!  Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm.  There is nothing too hard for You.  You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men...

Mark 6:48-51 – And He saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary to them; and about the fourth watch of the night He came to them walking upon the sea and would have passed them.  But when they saw Him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit and cried out.  For they all saw Him and were troubled.  And immediately He talked with them and said to them, be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.  And He went up unto them into the ship, and the wind ceased and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure and wondered.

Isaiah 50:2 – …Is my hand shortened at all that is cannot redeem?  Or have I no power to deliver?

Isaiah 59:1 – Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

His hand can save.  His hand can redeem.  He can hear when we call.  He has power to deliver.

Psalm 31:7-8 – I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities, and have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.

Psalm 102:14-20 – For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the Lord gazed upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were domed to death.

Some think He is watching to see our sins so He can condemn and reproach us.  No!  He is watching because He cares, because He is actually interested in us; He wants to help us and set us free.  He is searching for those who will trust in Him so He can hear and answer them and help and deliver them! He is searching for those who are completely devoted to Him to do mighty things for! He longs to do exceeding abundantly, far above what you ask in think - in your life today! He wants to show Himself strong in your behalf! Put yourself in a position to receive.

Psalm 12:5Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, now I will arise, says the Lord; I will set him in the safety (security, confidence, peace) for which he longs.

Isaiah 40:27 – Why do you say and assert, my way is hidden from the Lord and the justice due me escapes the notice of my God?

Isaiah 49:14 – But I said, I have toiled in vain and have spent my strength for nothing?  Yet surely the justice due to me is with the Lord, and my reward with my God.

Isaiah 40:27-31 – Don’t say that He doesn’t see.  Don’t say that He doesn’t know.

Don’t think that He doesn’t care.  He is great in understanding.  Come and wait in His presence and realize that He is there, that He actually cares, and what He is like.  You will gain renewed strength in His presence.  When you realize how much He really wants to help, you will accept it and go your way believing it is done – and it will be. Come to know and believe the love He has for you, and learn to live in the blessings of God.
